This completely new way of parting off gives higher stability and less vibration which allows for much higher feed rates compared to the conventional method. About y-axis parting:Conventional parting off only uses feed motion along the X-axis. With a new CoroCut QD blade design where the insert pocket is rotated 90 degrees, you can part off along the Y-axis instead.
